Nassrawa State Firstlady Bagged an Award of Excellence


The Wife of the Nasarawa State Governor, Her Excellency Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi A Sule, was conferred with an Award of the “BEST PERFORMING FIRSTLADY ON THE PROMOTION OF THE GIRL-CHILD EDUCATION” from Access Africa Daily News.

The award was shortly after an exclusive Interview with the Publisher of Access

The Firstlady said, on her assumption as the Firstlady of the state the first thing that came to her mind is “How to promote the Girl-child education” which from all indication she has put in her best to it, with the efforts being put into it the governor is also known as “HeforShe” this is how serious it’s being taken. We also remember the popular saying “When you educate a woman, you build a Nation”

To this effect the Firstlady took so much interest in making sure that the Girl-child goes to school. Lest we forget, she is putting so much efforts to seeing that the Youths restiveness is brought to a standstill, by engaging them with some skill acquisitions training, which at the end of the training, she empowers them start a business of their own to enable them earn a living and live responsibly. The women too are not left out, she also started some skill acquisitions training for them too, where she started with her Local Govt, and now gradually spreading to other Local Government Areas.

The Firstlady, also showed so much concern on the high rise of RAPE which is eating the society. She said, she has made a move in having a dialogue with the women, on how they would assist in eradicating the menace, because as mothers, we are in the home front, we always know when things go wrong with our children, so she deem it very necessary that mothers should always have a close relationship with our children. And she’s also in support of the VAPP bill. Most importantly, she always talk to our young girls that Hawks, to always avoid when they are being called in.

She also mentioned that without the women on her side it would not have been easy. She gave so much credits to them and her entire team who are always on their toes.
