Dogara Leads APC Campaign Team To Dass Bye Election

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara led the APC electioneering campaign team ahead of Saturday bye-election into the Dass state constituency.

It could be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set aside Saturday, 5th December, 2020 for the conduct of bye-election into the Dass state constituency.

The Dass state constituency seat became vacant following the assassination of it's incumbent, Hon. Musa Mante Baraza by unknown gunmen four months ago at his Dass residence.

The APC round up electioneering campaign yesterday in Dass was also graced by some members of the National Assembly that include Senator Halliru Jika, Hon Gudaji Kazaure, Hon. Abdullahi Yakubu Shehu, and Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Yakubu Suleiman, others.

Speaking at the rally, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara said that the APC as a party best suited the Dass state seat of the Bauchi legislature.

He explained that what differs Local Government election with election into state constituency. Is that the latter is by conducted by INEC in which the possibility of rigging is very rare.

Dogara explained that in as so far INEC will conduct the elections, not organts of government in Bauchi, hence APC is optimistic of victory in the polls

He therefore urged the electorate to come out enmasse Saturday and vote for APC candidate Hon. Bala Ali Lukshi in the elections.

Also speaking, the immediate past governor of Bauchi state Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar who represented by former deputy governor Abdu Sule Katagum expressed delight that APC is still waxing stronger in the state, pointing out that the party would emerge victorious in 2023 polls.

Bauchi state APC Chairman, Uba Ahmed Nana who also spoke at the occasion noted that the party has learnt past lessons, hence it would not allow depriving it's mandate.
