The Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN) Maradi, has condoled with the family and associates of a former Federal lawmaker, representing Gwarzo/Kabo Federal Constituency, late Hamza Zakari Gwarzo.
Late Zakari Gwarzo died at Gwarzo town on Monday, December 14, 2020 at the age of 70, after a brief illness.
The condolence message was contained in a statement signed by MAAUN President, Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo and made available to newsmen in Kano on Thursday.
Abubakar-Gwarzo described the death of the former Federal lawmaker as a great loss not only to his immediate family, but to the entire people of Gwarzo/Kabo Federal Constituency and Kano State as a whole.
"Today we lost another gentleman and a father, Alhaji Hamza Zakari Gwarzo, who was a two term Federal Lawmaker who represented Gwarzo/Kabo Federal Constituency from 1999 to 2007," the statement said.
Abubakar-Gwarzo, who described the deceased as very humble, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased the highest level of Aljannah Firdaus and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The deceased, who left behind two wives and 22 children, had since been buried in accordance with the Islamic rites in Gwarzo town.
