The Chairman, North East Youth Progressives Forum (NEYOF), Comrade Maina Bukar has commended the Bauchi state government under the able leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed for the numerous achievements it recorded within a short period of time.
Comrade Maina Bukar made the commendation while speaking to journalists in Bauchi after the forum members undertook an inspection tour to some of the projects executed by the Bauchi PDP-led administration within and outside Bauchi metropolis.
Bukar sited some road projects in Bauchi metropolis such as the Buzaye – Dass road bye-pass, the Gombe road – Maiduguri road bye-pass, dualization of Muda Lawal market road and the numerous connectivity roods within the cosmopolitan city of Bauchi to buttress his claim.
He also spoke about the forum’s inspection of the water project in Bauchi metropolis and its environs where he said it would cater for the growing needs of the city, and arrest the perennial water problem Bauchi was facing for decades.
“We also went round some of the educational structures where we saw hundreds of schools either renovated, news classrooms added or new primary and junior secondary schools build to absorb the growing of school-aged pupils in the society”, Bukar said.
He added, “Bauchi metropolis and its environs has witnessed a facelift during this short period of Governor Bala Mohammed stewardship, the city is wearing a new-look with the incoming of Kauran Bauchi administration in the state”.
Turning to the health sector, the forum acknowledged the transformation it witnessed especially in the area of primary healthcare facilities, expansion and upgrading of secondary health institutions, as well as renovation of General Hospitals across the Local Government Areas of the state.
Bukar also hailed Governor Bala for the proactive measures his administration has taken in stemming the tide of COVID-19 in the state, as well as the establishment of Molecular Centre at the Bauchi Teaching Hospital, and the 2nd testing centre at ATBU, Bauchi.
According to him, the provision of equipment, drugs and other clinical materials by the government across the state is also worthy of emulation, saying with the completion of the governor’s first-term tenure in office, Bauchi would have witnessed some unprecedented achievements
Comrade Maina Bukar therefore called on the good people of Bauchi state to give the Kauran Bauchi-led administration the much-needed maximum cooperation it deserves to be able to move the state to some enviable heights.
