Gov. Nasiru El-Rufai Appoints Saude Atoyebi As Deputy Chief Of Staff

The governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has appointed Saude Atoyebi as deputy chief of staff.

The governor announced this on the verified Twitter handle of the governor of the state on Wednesday.

“Malam Nasir @elrufai has approved the appointments of Saude Amina Atoyebi as his Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration) and Joel Adoga as SSA-Administration.

“Saude @minibaby replaces Peter Akagu-Jones who returns to private life after holding the position since 2015.

“The Governor has expressed his profound gratitude to Mr. Peter Akagu-Jones for his almost six years of dedicated service to Kaduna State as Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration).

“He remains a personal staff of Malam Nasir El-Rufai for whom he has worked for more than 30 years.”

Mrs Atoyebi joined the state government in 2015 and had served as Senior Special Assistant (Administration) to the governor El-Rufai, before getting appointed as the State Focal Person on Social Investment in 2019.

She was in December 2020 appointed as the acting General Manager of the Community and Social Development Agency CSDA.

Mrs Atoyebi began working for Mallam Nasir El-Rufai in 2012 as a researcher for his acclaimed budget series.

She served as secretary of the Finance sub-committee of the 2015 Kaduna State Transition Committee before her appointment as the governor’s Personal Secretary and Senior Special Assistant, Administration.

A graduate of Economics from ABU Zaria, Mrs Atoyebi bagged a master’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from Coventry University, United Kingdom.

She also attended the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Programme on Adaptive Leadership and the Agha Khan University’s Voice of Leadership programme.
