Federal House of Representatives Deputy Speaker, Hon. Idris Ahmed Wase has supported his constituents in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau state with the setting up of a foundation for charity services.
The Grand Patron of the Foundation Alhaji Haruna Garba disclosed this during an interview with journalists in Bauchi yesterday where he said that the major goal of the foundation is to promote education among children of the local government area, as well as assist orphans and vulnerable members of the area.
Other objectives of the foundation tagged 'Farin Gida' include to protect the interest of the people of Wase local government in the state and national assemblies and assisting indigents of the local government to pursue education.
Garba said, "We want to galvanize and mobilize continuous support for our distinguished and illustrious son Right Honourable Ahmed Idris Wase in his present position as deputy speaker of the house of representatives and his future political ambition".
He explained that the foundation will collaborate and participate in the development of Wase local government area, and promote the sanctity of the culture and tradition of the people of the local government".
Alhaji Haruna Garba also disclosed plan by the foundation to assist at leat 50 orphans during this fasting month of Ramadan and sallah festivities.
