Th Northern Youth Leaders Forum NYLF has endorsed Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi as the right candidate to run for presidency in twenty twenty three General Elections.
They made their position known when a delegation led by the group's National President Elliot Afiyo paid a solidarity visit to the Governor in Government House Bauchi.
Presenting the nomination letter to the Governor, the National President Elliot Afiyo said the decision to support the Governor was reached at the forum's twenty seventh National Delegates Conference held in Abuja where twenty eight candidates were shortlisted.
Elliot Afiyo noted that the group which was formed in 1994 has being endorsing productive presidential candidates that emerged victorious including late Umaru Musa Yar'adua, Goodluck Jonathan and President Muhammadu Buhari.
The president explained that Bala Mohammed's courage to move the motion for Doctoring of Neccessity which favoured former President Goodluck Jonathan in addition to his performance in two years as Bauchi State Governor has proved his competence for the apex political seat.
While calling on the Governor to honoured the endorsement, the Forum assured to mobilize their over four million members and affiliated organizations to facilitate actualization of the dream.
Responding, Governor Bala Mohammed who expressed appreciation to the forum maintained that he will consult critical stakeholders before making his position public in the next three weeks.
Bala Mohammed who described the endorsement out of his counterpart as a great honour, assured them on the positive feedback.
Speaking on behalf of the state ruling party, the state PDP Chairman Hamza Koshe Akuyam expressed readiness to support the Governor's political ambition at all levels.
