The President and Founder of Maryam Abacha American University (MAAUN) of Niger Republic and Nigeria, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo has congratulated the UN Deputy Secretary General, Hajiya Amina J. Mohammed on her 60th birthday.
The UN Deputy Secretary General on Saturday, 26th June, 2021 celebrated her 60th birthday.
The congratulatory message was contained in a letter signed by the President and Founder of MAAUN, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo and issued from Paris, a copy of which was made available to newsmen in Kano on Monday.
In the congratulatory message, Prof. Abubakar Gwarzo noted that the celebrant has contributed greatly towards the development of her country, Nigeria, Africa as well as the world which cannot be quantified.
He said her contributions towards the development of humanity for Sustainable development were some of the reasons behind her appointment as the Nigeria's Minister of Environment by the Federal Government and later appoined as UN Deputy Secretary General.
"On behalf of myself and family and the entire Management of MAAUN, I wish to felicitate with you on the occasion of your 60th birthday.
"We pray to Almighty Allah to give you good health, long life and prosperity to enable you contribute more towards the development of humanity," Prof. Abubakar Gwarzo said in the message.
The UN Secretary General, António Guterres re-appointed Nigeria’s Amina J. Mohammed as Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) after his re-appointment by the UN General Assembly for the second term on Friday, 18th June, 2021.(End).
