Most Civil Servants Are Dangerously Corrupt Than Most Of Our Politicians

Majority of the people being accommodated in Nasarawa State civil service are outright thieves. They live, eat and drink from the fountain of corruption.

To a typical civil servant, official corruption is a norm, that is why many of them are living above their means and are competing amongst themselves in terms of primitive accumulation of wealth. Most civil servants are dangerously corrupt than most of our politicians. This is however a story for another day.

The member representing Kokona East at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), Daniel Ogah Ogazi has summoned the gumption to slap the devil straight to his face. He has the audacity to uncovered a phenomenal rot, which if left to flourish, could have a dangerously negative effect on the health of our state educational system. The reckless attitude of some animals working at the state salary bureau, who in recent times, fraudulently engaged over 300 hundred unscreened and unqualified teachers into the service must be swept under the carpet. Their action is illegal, gross official misconduct, irresponsible and sacrilegious.

The Ogazi-led committee of the House on Education must be applauded and be stimulated to sustain the momentum of the assault against official corruption and abuse of public office.

It is heartwarming that the Ogazi team recommended for the suspension and subsequent closure of the richly corrupt infested office while fumigation and investigation progresses.

The audacity of the lawmaker is the sure way to go if we are serious about fighting corruption, inequality and injustice as well as exploitation and deliberate marginalization in the system. It will add value to the table if the executive arm of government generate the needed velocity of confidence and support the Ogazi-led committee to flush out all dangerous official bandits and official herdsmen from the system of the state.

We hope the investigation will yield a positive outcome, and people who are involved will be rewarded accordingly.

Ogazi is a lone voice with audacious sophistication. He earned my respect.
