Wadada Donates Food Items, Cash To Orphanage Homes In Karu

Founder of Keffi Polo Ranch, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, has on Sunday donated the proceeds of this year's international tournament to three (3) orphanage homes in Karu, Nasarawa State. 

Wadada made the donations when he led the management team to the homes as part of his resolve to always give back to the society. 

The homes visited include Divine Mercy, Honour Orphange Home and God’s Love Foundation,in Tudun Wada, Auta Balefi and Nyanya Gwandara respectively.

Speaking, Wadada said the gesture being the proceeds from polo tournaments hosted by his ranch was dedicated to the education and also to cater for the needs of the orphans in the society. 

While presenting the items and cash, he urged wealthy and privileged Nigerians to always consider the plight of the vulnerable children.

“As a politician and one that have enjoyed God’s blessings, I have always prayed to God to enable me give back to the society, especially the less privileged.

“These are proceeds from our tournaments and we have make it a policy in Keffi Polo Ranch to use whatever support that was realized for the education and wellbeing of orphans. 

“We have one for the sponsorship of education and one for the orphans in the society, as a way of giving back to the society.

“So this gesture is an annual thing which the chairman has made it a policy that in every year two tournaments will be hosted and he has been very wonderful in ensuring that whatever that was generated is channeled to the education of the less privileged and as well as Carter for the orphan,” he said. 

On her part, Hajiya Zahra Buka, a special adviser to the governor of Borno State, pointed out that it is only when you share with the less privileged in the society that attract respect and God’s blessings.

“I am overwhelmed by the decision taken by honourable Wadada who despite his position in the country yet share with children who are the vulnerable in our society,” Zahra said.

Also speaking, Yusuf Wadada, the son of the founding chairman of Keffi Polo Ranch stated that the gesture and the act as demonstrated by his father was a challenge to him.

Yusuf who advised Nigeria youths on engaging on meaningful ventures added that he will work towards sustaining the vision of his father.

Items donated include rice, noodles, mattresses, bottles of water, detergents and undisclosed amount of cash among others.
