The newly admitted students of 2020/2021 and 2021/22 session of the Nigerian Institute of Leather And Science Technology (NILEST) Zaria have been advised to contributes their quota in enhancing the institute image during and after their stay in the school and not to bring any dispute to the name of the institute whatsoever, the charge was part of the speech by Prof. M. K. Yakubu, the Director General and Chief Executive of the institute at matriculating ceremony held at the school premises on Friday 8th April 2022.
He further stated that, “ I want you to focus and realize that before you, like a winding road, lies tremendous opportunities and experiences that will define your experience and set you on part to your professional and personal life and theses opportunities and experience are what will determined the direction of the rest of your life ”
The DG also stated that NILEST have produced thousand of grandaunts some of which are now entrepreneurs, skilled workers in relevant fields and some are lectures in various tertiary institutes in the country, as the entire courses offered by the school are fully recognized and accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
Earlier in his speech, the students affairs officers, Bitrus Kabuna Yashim, warned the newly matriculated students to that no and group or associations in the school are allowed to go to press without the consents of the institute authority, that any group of students wishing to issues press statement must make I available to Registrar for approval before the release is made.
