Barely four days to the polls, members of the Late Sheikh Ja'afar Mahmud Adam Memorial Education Foundation across the 19 Northern states have unanimously agreed to support APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in this Saturday's Presidential elections.
The foundation members argued that their resolution followed a pronuncement by some Islamic scholar's and Jumu’at mosque Imams while presenting Jumu'at sermons that the sect will support Atiku Abubakar at the 2023 general elections.
The group promised to provide Tinubu/Shettima with not less than twenty million votes (20,000,000) in the next election.
The foundation during its recent NEC meeting in Kano realized that the statement credited to the members to support Atiku Abubakar was baseless and borne out of selfishness, hence their resolve to write an open letter to the PDP presidential candidate.
The letter signed by the foundation national president, Malam Abdullahi Adamu Shira and issued to journalists yesterday in Bauchi, reads in parts, “We the executives of the above foundation, “Late Sheikh Ja'afar Mahmud Adam Memorial Educational Foundation, Northern Nigeria" are compelled to write this open letter you”.
“We want to make it clear that we will support His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, come 2023 in sha Allah, not less twenty million votes (20,000,000) through, HIS Excellency, Kashim Shettima, Vice President, come 2023 in sha Allah, this is agreed after reviewing the excellent achievements of President Muhammad Buhari APC led Government”.
Late Sheikh Ja’afar Mahmud Adam foundation members said that their votes will come through mared women/adult girls Islamiyya and Hadda Schools, Concerned Jumu'at mosques Imams/khamsus salaawaat mosques.
Malam Abdullahi Shira gave other sources of their votes to Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu as concerned Alaramma/Tsangaya schools, Shabaabus group, and Late Sheikh Ja'afar Mahmud Adam Memorial Educational Foundation, among others.
“We have given this circular that our students should support APC from top to bottom by casting their votes. We have our reason why we are not supporting Atiku, more especially we in the North-east. Atiku was once the vice President of Nigeria but he was not able to facilitate the construction of roads to his home town until when APC led President Muhammadu Buhari came”.
“It is at this time that the Government of APC makes the oil exploration at Alkaleri LGA of Bauchi state see the light of the day and today we are more than happy that our state Bauchi state will be among the states that are enjoying the 13% oil deregulation”.
The foundation queried, “Where was Atiku when the Government that he was the Vice President from 1999-2007 stopped the project and he didn't do anything about that, and he is from this zone, the North-east as he is claiming, of which we are doubting.”
“Now we in Northern Nigeria more especially, we in the North-east, what will Atiku say that we should cast our votes to him? So, our votes are for Tinubu/Kashim at the 2023 General elections. We are inviting you to the swearing in ceremony of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Jagaban) 'President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
Shira concluded, “We write a solution to my President, in sha Allah, Asiwaju or Kashim or anybody that has the spirit of APC in him/her to support this Foundation to deliver the 20,000,000 votes promised Asiwaju/Kashim. Our program will take only Four (4) days before the Presidential election”.
