The incident happened on Sunday when the hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers invaded the estate around 11:47pm.

Some gunmen have reportedly abducted eight persons in Sagwari layout estate in the Dutse axis of Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The incident happened on Sunday when the hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers invaded the estate around 11:47pm.
The gunmen who were said to be wielding sophisticated weapons gained entrance into the estate through the back fence according to a resident of the area.
Lamenting the attack, the witness said that the gunmen invaded some flats and whisked away eight persons at gunpoint.

"The gunmen operated quietly without shooting guns to avoid attracting the attention of neighbours to the estate.

"Before moving out their victims, they tied down the security guard with a rope and went away with his phone," Shagari explained.

He said security operatives were alerted after the gunmen had left with their victims, adding that the security operatives are working with other security agents to go after the gunmen.

Meanwhile, when SaharaReporters contacted the spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine, she had yet to reply to a text message sent to her as at the time of filing the report.
