Kaduna State University Students Visit MAAUN of Nigeria in Kano — Africa Daily News

Some Students from the Department of Geography, Kaduna State University (KASU) on Thursday visited Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) in Kano,

The students who were under the leadership of Prof. Lar of the Geography Department, were conducted round the Maryam Abacha American University, located at Hotoro Area in Kano metropolis.

During the visit, the students were also conducted round the various Faculties and Departments, lecture theatres, laboratories, library, hostels as well as other important places within the university premises.

In their separate remarks, the students  commended the President and Founder of the university, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo for establishing the university in the ancient city of Kano and equipping the school with state of the art equipment.

Also in his remark,  Prof. Lar appreciated the Founder of MAAUN for establishing Maryam Abacha American University in Maradi, Niger Republic and in Kano, Nigeria.

He specifically lauded Prof. Abubakar Gwarzo for establishing Franco-British International University in Kaduna.

Prof Lar also used the occasion to commend the President and Founder of MAAUN for donating luxurious buses to some Nigerian Universities in addition to awarding scholarships to exceptional students from lower and middle class families. 

"This singular effort is really worthy of commendation and to be proud of by all Nigerians," he said.
