Federal Poly Nasarawa Expels 51 Students Over Examination Malpractice

The Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, Nasarawa State, has on Tuesday expelled no fewer than 51 students for various form of examination misconduct during the 2019/2020 academic session.

This followed the approvals of the decision by the academic Board during its 463rd meeting held last week at the council chamber of the institution 

The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the polytechnic, Dr Abdullahi Alhassan Ahmed who gave the approvals of the expulsion of the affected students. 

According to the approvals, the affected students where expelled on the ground of various offence of examination misconduct that involved both full time and part time students. 

The expelled students involved HND and ND in engineering courses, accounting, science laboratory technology, library and information science, mass communication among others. 

Dr Ahmed, stressed the need for the expelled students to hand over all Polytechnic belongings to their head of departments. 

He enjoined the students shun examination malpractice and other forms of social vices to strengthen growth and development of the polytechnic.
