A Federal Capital Territory Area Court, Nyanya sitting in Mpape has adjourned the case of alleged assault and criminal intimidation involving one Shetima Ndula Buba an operative of Department of State Services ( DSS) to December 6 2022.

When the matter came up before Justice Maiwada Inuwa on Thursday he adjourned the case to enable proper arraignment of
Shetima by the police.
The court had on November 22, 2021 ordered the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Wuse Police Station to investigate the office for alleged assault, theft, and criminal intimidation contrary to sections 264, 286, and 396, punishable under sections 264, 286, 396 of the Panel Code Law respectively.
The order read in part " That the Honourable Judge of the Court has directed that the matter of a case titled Zainab Haruna vs Shetima Ndula Buba should be referred to your office for a thorough and detailed investigation in line with section 89 (5) of the Administration of Criminal Justice (ACJA, 2015).
" The fundings of this investigation are to be reported back to this court within two weeks either First Information Report ( FIR )".
After the Investigation, the Police submitted their report and informed the court that the investigation revealed that on 11/10/2021 at about 2030hrs Shetima Ndula Buba had a misunderstanding with Zainab Haruna who was then, his wife, Shetima got provoked and beat up the complainant.
The report also added that the complainant was taken to hospital for medication following the beating she received from the suspect and she sustained several injuries. Moreover, some of the complainant’s personal belongings were broken, as observed by the investigators.
The finding of the Police Investigative Report revealed that “Prima Facie case has been established against Shetima Ndula Buba, hence the suspect will be brought to court on FIR as requested by the court.
